How do you go from a dark brown/black hair color to a dark blonde?

I dyed my hair black in May but it was semi-permanent and it still hasn't washed all the way out so its like dark brown and red-ish( my previous color before the black) and some parts are black. For the summer i planned to dy it like a dark blonde but im afraid to do anything to it becuase someone told me it might turn orange..How do you go from a dark brown/black hair color to a dark blonde?
go to a professional at a salon. lightening dark hair to light is quite tricky. it gets even trickier if your hair has been dyed alot like yours. trying to lighten it like you want will likely cause more hair damage if not done right. it will be worth the money to get it done professionally.
