I totally agree as a professional cosmetologist , but tint does not lift tint if your a natural black consider bleaching to lift its the only way if your not natural black black is a nightmare to get out and to get it out may result in major damage
consider brown, you will never get the black out i promise!!!! you will be stuck with it unless you want to cut it or pay someone to damage your hair trying to get it out. do the brown it will look prett over the highlights
I'd go with brown because getting black out of hair is HELL. I spent oodles of money trying to get my hair to lighten up some after I dyed it soft black. I was told by a woman who worked in a salon that even in her opinion it is tons of work to get black color out of the hair.
