just paint it
the best thing i can say is go to a beauty supply store and get a bleaching kit . its not that expensive . you should try . but it might make your hair break . if youve ever done it youll know what i mean .
You have to use bleach or a color stripper. This will be extremely damaging and will probably require a toner to get the end result a nice color because as the color fades it goes through several stages and you will probably be left with an unattractive color. Keep in mind that it will be really hard to impossible to go blond from black, your blond will be brassy.
Yes, you must strip the color from your hair using a chemical color remover or ';stripper';. Your local beauty supply store should carry them, (I know Sally's does).

Be careful, as it is very difficult to get even results at home. Your hair will most likely end up some shade of orange so have your new shade picked out and ready to go.

Before you apply the new color to your hair, I recommend using a ';filler'; first. This can also be found at the beauty supply store. Fillers are important because they ensure that the new color goes on evenly. This step is very important if you want your new color to look good!! They come in gold, red, brown, and clear,(or neutral). Pick the one that goes best with the new shade of haircolor you've selected. If you're not sure, just go with clear.

Please don't attempt to color over the black, or bleach it....this won't work. The dye will only affect the roots of you hair and the rest will still be black. The only way to get rid of the black dye is to strip it!

Good Luck!
die it another color!
Bleach ur hair out dude.
Try going to the professionals to get it stripped- it might damage your hair a bit, but there'll be no more colour.

I dyed my hair black once and I had to wait until it all grew out before I was finally rid of it. Now I go for almost-blacks or temporary colours- they fade out eventually and they can be dyed over.
i think garnier make a de-colorrant that could get it out...otherwise go to the hairdresser and they can strip it out (the color)
strip it you can get at the beauty salon
do not dye your hair over black....you will over process and ruin it
I really screwed up my hair one time, and I didn't want to color it again immediately with a permanent hair color because it would cause too much damage, so I opted for a less damaging semi-permanent hair color. Or you can use cheap hydrogen peroxide, it lightens your hair.
i just went through trying to fade black hair color out of my hair! best thing is to apply *Head and Shoulders shampoo while your hair is dry make sure u cover it let it sit for a while then wash it out! it worked well with mine it's not so dark any more!!! GOOD LUCK
OR, call 1-800-CLAIROL, my mom says they used to have a product that got the dye out of your hair (she worked for them a while back).
Yes, it will have to be stripped out with color remover and then dyed a different color because most of the time the hair turns orange after taking the black out. If you want to try it yourself there is color remover called COLOR FIX that you can order on line, you can probably come across some other ones if you look. If you do want to try it yourself, make sure you follow the directions very carefully. I would advise that you go to a salon though. P.S. DO NOT PUT BLEACH OVER IT.
wash your hair a lot or go swimming every day. the chlorine makes everything go lighter
hair bleach of course. it comes in a powder. use 40 volume peroxide (also from the beauth supply) . it's quite easy. apply it to the shaft of the hair. (keep it at least an inch from the scalp until you've done the shaft of the hair first) then apply closer to the scalp. the reason why is because the heat from your head will cause it to ';lift'; quicker. you could buy a plastic cap and sit under a hot dryer for 5 minutes or so to cause it to lift quicker. go to the beauty supply. they can show you what to buy. it's quite easy. or the other alternative is to buy some SUN IN and just hang out outside for a few hours.
Oh come on! I can't believe no one has said this...

shave it! :P

:)
You can actually try dish detergent. That often works to dull it and get out some of it, not all though. Then you're only alternative, if it's not temporary, is to lift (bleach) it.
Huh? I'm trying to get white hair color off my hair. Why would you want your hair to be in white? You want to look older?
Bleach it.
try dying it ok.
Wash with Prell or liquid dish soap
