im light skinned too but my hair is medium brown.i was born with jet black hair but my hair mysteriously changed colors over the years.i think you should try it.jet black is a very pretty hair color.but don't dye your hair too much because it can damage it:/
instead of jet black try dark brown with warm honey highlights! or try a warm honey color all over. if you really wanna dye your hair black though, get brown or dark brown highlights with it. but dont dye it blonde because it'll wash out your complexion. hope i helpeddd! =]

Yea I love black hair, I have red-ish brown and I've gone jet black many times but it always seems to go back brown.
