Would i look good with black hair coloring underneath? (two-toned)?

this is me

well normally when you see the two-toned hair it's a little blonder than yours. so to make it look really good, i'd recommend lightening the rest of your hair up with some caramel or honey-blonde highlights.

as for the two toned hair, i wouldn't recommend it. I'm just going off of personal experience. I've had my hair two-toned for most of high school and maybe my first year of college. I've been working on naturally lightening it up for like the past year and it's hard to do without damaging your hair. So, it's up to you really. It's your hair and it's always fixable.

Yes. There are Spaniards with natural black hair as well as Spaniards with varying shades of naturally brown, blond, and red hair.

Does baby shampoo really get black hair coloring out?

My friend did something stupid and dyed his hair black and I've heard that baby shampoo is a slow process to strip the color out, is that true?Does baby shampoo really get black hair coloring out?
UH NO....baby shampoo is gentle, you know gentle enough for babies...there is no possible way a baby shampoo could take hair color out. Sorry Does baby shampoo really get black hair coloring out?
tell ur friend to use dove shampoo. it has detergents in it that strips out coloring
its so gentle i doubt it. They sell good shampoo to strip the color out

What is the difference between black hair colors? ?

    Hello,

I know there is jet black, natural black and soft black. is there other? what is the difference between them? what you think is more beautiful for a tan skin? What is the difference between black hair colors? ?
try nice and easy's blue/black i was told that if you use any other variation that it might turn out dull/matte, versus a nice shine which the blue/black did for me, LOVE IT!!!What is the difference between black hair colors? ?
Jet black has a purplish blue tint to it.

    Natural black is dull black.

Soft black is kinda faded looking.

There is midnight, its the blackest black.

For tan, I'd say soft black.
some of the colors have more of a purple base or tent to it. They also have bases like green, blue, and red. Then theres like charcoal.
    The base color is different.

The base for black can be blue, violet, green, etc.

All colors are made of primary and secondary colors (remember mixing paints in school)

Usually jet is the blackest, natural black is a smidge not so deep and soft black is usually another name for natural black. It depends on the brand though.

I would probablt avoid the blacker than ink shades, unless you are looking for the emo look.

What is the difference between soft black, jet black and natural black? (hair colors)?

    I onlt know jet black and natural black;

Natural black is black with a redish or brownish tinge. Its like a very dark brunette

Jet black is just that. Really dark black with either no tinge or a whitish (don't mistake for grey) tinge it could have a bluish tinge but this raely occurs naturally

Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?

I am only 17 and my hair is already turning a little white. My natural hair color is black as night, so it realllllly sticks out! I wanted to dye it for special occasions like prom.

But my friend said that if you use solid black color, your hair can turn blue!? this was from her dad's experiences.

She said to use dark dark brown color, but my hair is solidly black and I only have a total of about 20 white hairs!

IS WHAT SHE SAID TRUE? Is there anything else a 1st time hair dyer should know? Thanks!Does black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?
It could if you use a black hair dye that has blue in the base. Not all black dye has a blue base though. You could get natural black, not blue black. Get the dye at a beauty supply store. It will say right on the bottle what the base color is. Good luckDoes black hair coloring actually make your hair turn dark blue?
Your welcome. I hope your hair turns out nice.

    NO.....................!
Especially because you are a first time hair dyer, I would highly reccomend going to a salon and getting your hair professionally done..

However, at home hair colors are offered in a wide array of shades, even for just black. Some black dye actually shines a very dark blue in light, but it usually will mention that affect on the box...

    Hope that helps =)
it might tint it bllue and semi-perminant brands are more likly to do that
get just for men black hair dye...it takes 5 min .

it is in the grocery stores.

no it will not turn your hair blue if u shake the bottle real well before applying
nop. hair colouring could be your hair disaster.
it depends on what the base of that color is .
are he kidding with u what dark blue

just ask people who are specialistes on that dont ask anyone

just make it brown it will be cool
';True'; black hair will actually have a slight blue tint to it. Most hair that looks black is actually a VERY dark brown. Even though your hair looks jet black, it probably isn't. Look at it under a light--if there's a subtle blue sheen to it, it's a true black--if not, sorry--you've got dark brown hair. A safe bet would be a ';natural'; black dye, rather than a jet black (jet contains blue).
    no
It depends on your original hair colour and the die
it is not gonna turn blue if u buy jet black..if u buy blue black then it gonna look a little blue in the sun

I need some hair styles* i have a picture*also will black hair color look okay?PLEASE ANSWER?

oh also would curls look okay on me?I need some hair styles* i have a picture*also will black hair color look okay?PLEASE ANSWER?
I think that black hair would make your skin look too pale although I would reccommend getting a darker brown than what you already have (but not too dark). I'd try a hairstyle on your that's a bit below your chin but not too short. Also, have you maybe tried curling your hair so it adds a bit to the flatness of it coz you may want to ask for some styling tips from your hairdresser too.I need some hair styles* i have a picture*also will black hair color look okay?PLEASE ANSWER?
black would definitely look way better than this current brown. and also make your bangs much shorter

  • How do I dye my red highlights back to my natural black hair color?

Its been a month since I added dark red highlights (not bright red) to my plain black hair and now I want to dye it back black.

    So my Question is:

    1. If I dye the red over with black, it won't turn into a tragic (ex: orange) hair color will it?

    2. Should I wait longer before dyeing it again?

    3. What brand would you recommend that is a best back hair dye?

I don't plan on going to a hair salon to do this btw...How do I dye my red highlights back to my natural black hair color?
Black is a really strong dye color and it will most likely cover the red, especially if its been a month. I wouldn't advise that you try to color your hair after immediately dyeing it, since dyed hair doesn't absorb any more dye, but I would say a month is sufficient time to let your hair become more porous.

I would also advise coloring your whole head, just so that you get an even color.

Feria is an excellent choice, and in my opinion better and more permanent than those other brands, like Manic Panic or Special Effects. I've also noticed that it also doesn't kill your hair, which is always a plus.

Good luck! And if you can, get someone to help you!

(+) as for the Colour Rays, yes I've used it as well and I can say that it IS permanent, but the colors tend to fade really fast, especially the reds. How do I dye my red highlights back to my natural black hair color?
You don't have to worry about your hair turning orange or anything. Black hair dye covers everything. I recommend using L'Oreal Feria - Black Leather. I think that is the perfect hairdye. When I used it, it made my hair look super shiny and healthy. It is also a jet black colour but doesn't look so harsh (and I have pretty light skin). It is also a true black shade. You have to be careful because a lot of black hair dyes come with a base colour which means they can look red, blue, purple or even green in the light. This hairdye however just looks black, even in the sunlight or bright indoor lights. I tried a black hair dye before and it was horrible because my hair was more blue than black. The Black Leather hairdye also lasts super long. I dyed my hair last August and my hair STILL looks black even thought I haven't dyed it dark since.
It won't turn orange, that's for sure, since you are going to use black. I'd advise against using black, since it is far too harsh for you. Very rare people have true black hair, but rather they have dark brown. That would look much better on you.

Waiting is not going to make any difference, I have no idea why you think it would. If it was a demi-, you would never be able to see the red. What you used was a mild bleach with red colour in it, so you may have a bit of a difference when you colour you hair, but if you use any dark colour, such as the dark brown, you will cover everything. The only way to remove that red is to cut them off.

I have never used any of the drugstore shelf products (don't think very highly of them), so can't recommend one over the other. They are about all the same, so it doesn't matter much.

I need to know a GOOD temporary blue-black (or just black) hair color?

I really want some temporary blue black, or just black (im hoping for blue black more though) hair color, and where to buy it. Im talking STRICTLY temporary though. Not Semi-permanent. i want a GOOD temporary hair color though; one that actually stays in once you put it it, and washes out after showering. Because i tried this cheap piece of crap hair color and it didn't change the color at all! Does Sally's beauty supply have any good ones? If so, what brand should i buy? Thank you so much.I need to know a GOOD temporary blue-black (or just black) hair color?
nothing is realy temp. the thing is blue black is wella and you can find it sally supply store. its not too expensive if you do yourself. it does not stay long and its has to be redone moreoten but its not perm either really they all go and fade to an extent. take care. i use 367 wella its dark but has purplish cast and love it.I need to know a GOOD temporary blue-black (or just black) hair color?
I have never found a temp black that washes all the way out. I have done black 3 time in the past NEVER again will I! So I give my best wishes.
No hair dye is truly temporary.
i just tried some stuff, i got at walmart. im blonde i just wanted to see how i looked brunette, its called a rinse. i left it in for 3 days, even after blow drying it, and it completely washed out in one wash. its called fanci-full.you may try sallys though for more of a color selection. just remember its called a rinse not a dye!
I will tell you now that any semi perm dye you think will wash out, it isn't going to. Natural Instincts is semi perm but like with all black semi perms it never goes away.

Maybe try a spray in color?
i use temporary hair dye rinses all the time,

i have found that there is a garnier brand rinse called 'blueberry' which is a blue/black colour that i used a couple of times with DYNAMIC results, but first you need to have already brown to dark brown hair if you want the best results!! i found that my dark, almost black brown hair really illuminated the colour!!

    BLUEBERRY ALL THE WAY!!
go to a beauty supply store.
    Sally's has:

Clairol Jazzing Sheer Haircolor Bluest Black Temporary

Remember with any ';black'; color, temp or not ... it will take a few more shampoos to remove the residuals especially if your hair is dry or damaged to begin with.

    Good Luck.

EDIT: After doing some searching .. there is no product by Garnier that has a rinse. Only Blue Black Permanent. Also, for Fanci-full, there is a Black Rage temporary, that after you wash it out, it is supposed to be gone.

What would be the results of stripping out black hair color to try and get your natural?

Ok so about a month or two ago my daughter who has a natural level 2 medium brown hair color, thought it would be a smart to dye her hair dark brown since the sun had faded her natural hair color. She got it professionally dyed but instead of turning dark brown her hair turned a dark level 2 almost black!! She let it grow out about an inch and got her routs re- died with a semi permanent just to hide them while she decides to either get her stylist to color correct her hair and strip out the dark color to get her natural or let it grow out and keep semi permanent dying her routes. She has very long hair and this will take forever. She is really unhappy with the dark color and we were both wondering what the results would be if she went ahead and stripped the color out? What would be the results of stripping out black hair color to try and get your natural?
its very bad to strip your hair. i would suggest either letting it grow out or using a product called color vanish. it really works! but make sure (just in case) that you buy alot of mouisterizing shampoos! hope i helped! heres a link to it http://www.colorvanish.com/

Wonder if anyone else gravitates back to black (hair color)?

Ive never been afraid to be bold with new hair color, it's kind of refreshing like a change of season. I have medium brown hair. The thing is I am so changeable, never keeping the color(s) I choose for that long and gravitate back to black, and then when I do I am there for a while.

My mom hates it, but I feel like I am connected to it, like my personality is. It feels like a reset button, the color matches everything and is mysterious and dark. I am fair in winter and Very dark in summer (Italian/Irish).

Does anyone else experience this, either with black or maybe a color you love that is not yours naturally for whatever reasons? I had medium ash blonde hair as a child and Love that color, but never have been able to get that color again.

I just dyed black again today, haha. I love it, but those around me are going to be surprised because they thought I was going really light this time! I just can't commit to that personality ... or something. ???Wonder if anyone else gravitates back to black (hair color)?
I was like that with blonde for a long time lol. I had light hair as a child, then dyed it black for a few years then one drunken new years eve I went blonde and LOVED it! I kept it like that for about 6 years and then decided it was just a pain in the butt to keep up with so went dark dark brown. A month ago I went back to light and right now I am sitting here with dark dark brown (black brown) hair dye in my hair lol. I like doing it dark on top, light underneath now. Its kinda like a happy medium for me I guess :)

How can I get rid of the black hair color? How is it possible to make it lighter?

a year ago I had died my hair black, and I liked it. Recently I got tired of the plain black color, so I started to let my roots grow trying to get my natural light brown hair color back. I was to impatient because u know it takes a while to get back my color, so I decided to died my hair a light brown hair color. Now the problem is that only the top part of my hair, basically the roots actually died the color light brown i was aiming for. Does anyone know how I can get my black hair color back to a light brown hair??How can I get rid of the black hair color? How is it possible to make it lighter?
You can go to one of your local stores, not sure where you live %26amp; if you have the same stores. But Wal-mart might carry it.. (along with target, sally's, and etc) and ask someone for help or look yourself. But you are looking for a hair stripping kit. It will strip the hair dye out of your hair and bring you to your natural hair color or close to it. Good-luck! :)How can I get rid of the black hair color? How is it possible to make it lighter?
bleach your hair, (it will turn bright blonde) then die it the color you want.

Whats the difference between dark brown and black hair color?

So I think its time to dye my hair again, I want to darken it. Naturally my hair is brown medium and it has a redish hue, but I want it dark and I was wondering which hair dye should I get dark brown or black? I usually get the Revlon Dark brown but last time I used it I really didne't see a big difference, so should I just use black whats the difference? would the black get rid of the redish hue?

I really want it the color of Kirsten Steward in Twilight, but I'm not sure if thats considered dark brown or black... ???

Thanks!Whats the difference between dark brown and black hair color?
go with DARK BROWN!!!! i've made that mistake before....lol

black will turn your hair JET BLACK to the point where it almost looks blue!!!

not too many ppl can pull off jet black hair unless they are born with it.

dark brown will be perfect, and it's almost black, but not shockingly black.Whats the difference between dark brown and black hair color?
brown is better. When it starts to fade, black just looks nasty, like a dull grey. Brown just turns into lighter brown. And I agree, black hair looks fake. Go with the darkest brown you can find, maybe switch brands and elave it on longer.
If you really want to know the difference go to a paint store and ask to see their colour charts. Most people who are not colour blind can tell dark brown from black but in your case it sounds like you need help to see the difference.
Black hair dye is hard to get out if you want to dye it another color. I had to get my hair stripped after dying my hair black. It's a chemical process that is really bad for your hair. I would recommend doing dark brown.
    Black tends to look more like ';Oh, I dyed my hair, see!';

That's because very few people have truly black hair. Dark brown is more natural looking. (personal opinion only here)

  • I'm trying to find a blue black hair color.?

I've been looking for blue black hair dye, but so far I haven't found anything blue enough for my liking. I need a brand I can buy at a store like Target or Walgreen, please nothing like Raw or Manic Panic, I want something permanent, and I can't get it done at the salon, because I don't have enough money to do so.

Here are the brands I have tried that didn't work for me:

L'Oreal Feria (faded within 2 weeks.)

Nice N' Easy (It was sort of blue when I first dyed it, but as I continued to dye it the blue started going away.)

Garnier 100% color (Hardly blue at all.)

I want something similar to this:

http://www.herbatint.co.uk/img/swatches/1N%20BLACK.jpgI'm trying to find a blue black hair color.?
Try to find a sallys beauty supply around you, they are great with professional hair dye, they will tell you how to do it to make it the way you want it. It's not that expensive either. Probably around 10 to 15 dollars for hair dye.

How can I turn my dark almost black hair color into bright red with out chemicals?

I recently dyed my hair to red and then dyed it to mediam sand now it looks Black and Im not satisfied, I want to know how I can lighten it so I can redye with red and it will be red again. I bought Oopps Color removal I read really good reviews but fear if it doesn't even work on my hair, Im not going to dye it right away im atleast going to wait a week.. I want to know if that product really works, or if there is another method I can use to lighten my hair and how long will it take if I use Prnell shampoo and how to use Prnell when washing my hair like how long do I leave the shampoo in my head and when will I see results? How can I turn my dark almost black hair color into bright red with out chemicals?
i know this is going to sound stupid, but my sister-in-law has dark brown hair and she used kool-aid to achieve red highlights. she SWEARS by this method, and not just the red flavor! How can I turn my dark almost black hair color into bright red with out chemicals?
well i know that if you put koolaid in your hair it turns red. the shade depends on how long you leave it in. test it on a strand of your hair first. opps i didn't see the first comment.
If you have dark hair.... BBQ sauce is the only way to do it. I would use KC Masterpiece Good luck!

its a really cute haircut too :P

    good luck
Of course, but your face is a little bit big for it, sorry. You can still try. Word to the wise, don't put an upside down picture
Yeah! It's really cute and original. You'll be the only person with it. I love it. And I'm sure it would look cute with black hair.
Your face is actually a bit too round for that haircut. I would go for something that fits round heads instead of that. It is your choice, however.

But hey, if you do get that haircut, expect to be turning heads! lol. =D
hello.. well that is an awesome hair cut.. you have to be aware that you hair is straight so you will have to curl it to make it look like that..

though your hair has already been thinned out and there isnt really much a hairdresser can do apart from the fringe..

i believe that a hair cut will look good with any colour brunette or blonde.. red heads are the only ones that have to be carefull with hair cuts...

i suggest. a chocolate brown or black with highlights... that will look rockin..

How to get out dyed black hair color?

I AM NOT GOING TO A SALON!. I naturally have dark brown hair but i dyed it black about 6 months ago then after while i tried to dye over the black a Honey Blonde but it only got the roots and im trying to get it all that same color or lighter and i don't know what works best bleaching or color remover or what.., its been about 2-3 months since ive messed with it, im done looking at it and im wanting to FIX it TODAY but i don't want it to turn out looking like a tiger or something because i do have to go in public sometime and ive been trying to deal with it these couple of months but i just cant take it anymore lol so PLEASEEE HELPPPP!!!How to get out dyed black hair color?
I think you need to go to a beauty supply place and find a hair stripper. It will probably be a 2-3 part process. Make sure you follow the directions exactly. It will not restore it to its natural color, that is impossible after applying permanent black hair dye. But you should be able to significantly lighten it and then redye it a different shade. How to get out dyed black hair color?
If you used a permanant then you have to wait till it grows out or you bleach it. If it's a semi it stays black only it blends with your natural colour so it dosent really look like you have roots well mine dosent.

I suggest you bleach it then dye it your natural colour.:)

    ~Mirecca
Just re-dye it all, the same colour!!

I use wash in wash out dye all the time, and just keep re-dying because my hair was originally bleached and my hair dresser said it wasnt a good idea incase it re-acted. So if i were you, i'd keep doing this until it grows out. Sorry i cant think of any other way
the best way to get rid of black hair is to get a pre-lightener and leave itn on until its light enough to put the colour you want on.

    Good luck

if you aren't going to a salon, then leave it alone...dying your hair too much will make it turn colors and fall out...

How can make black hair color...? I mean 100% sure without anyside effects..?

I changed my dark blond hair black with feria and i loved it....
Mix dry Amla and coffe with Henna. Or if you are open to coloring, color your hair and use the henna for conditioning, henna will arrest any graying too.
wash your hair with shampoo of nuts
    COMBINE SHOEFLOWER WITH OIL.
I used ';preference by Loreal'; soft black and it seemed to have a more natural color and didn't have any side effects. It also comes with a 6 week supply of conditioner that is really great.
If you want a plain flat black and you have dark brown hair by nature, then use Jerome Russel's Colour Shot in Blue Behaviour(I think! Anyway it's the blue semi-permanent one by Jerome Russel)

Used it to try and get blue hair, but ended up with the flat black above.

    Question about black hair color?

My hair is ';soft black';...and everytime I wash it, I notice it fades. In the course of about a week, I can see very dark brown highlights when the sun hits it now, like this:

I want it to be dark brown, instead. I didn't want it black, but it came out that way...so, if I keep washing my hair and letting it fade, and then in a few weeks put a dark brown color over it, will that work and make it dark brown instead of the black like I wanted in the first place?

I want it to be this color:

Thanks for the help!Question about black hair color?
Yes you can get the color you want. As you know by now...when dying your hair dark brown never leave the color on your hair as long as it is recommeneded on the box....especially if ur hair is already dark bc it will take it all the way to black. I would suggest using a medium brown and leave it on for 8 mins. You can always dry your hair and see if it's the shade you desire. Repeat as many times as needed. Take your time...don't worry the color in the bottle won't go bad...it'll stay good for about 2 hrs. Do not use color fix or anything like that 2 remove hair color. Big NO NO!!! It ruins your hair and most the time leaves it brassy red or orange. Best thing for you 2 use 2 remove color from ur hair is prell shampoo. It naturally strips hair color. (It does not say that on the bottle but trust me it does,...make sure it's not concentrated tho) I'd use it for a good 2-3 weeks before applying more color. Btw, it's hard 2 fine at wal-marts...check your local drugstores such as cvs or walgreens.

It's possible, but if you really want to get the black out try Color Oops.
You can, but like you said wait a few weeks for some of the color to fade away. And good luck.

i think your hair colour is good, look like cleopatra

very exotic, and you have a beautiful face, so any

hair style would fit you. do whatever as you want

cause you are gorgeousDoes this black hair color suit me??
You should tan, black hair color washes you out making you very, very pale. Also the eye makeup is a little much, liquid eye liner would make it look much better. i can tell you use a pencil.

No blonde, you're hair looks completely damaged already

you must strip hair for it to become blonde.

    which is VERY painful
All the links are working. I, personally, do not like your hair or the color. Blonde hair with black lowlights would look good, though. I think you'd look best with medium-dark brown, though.

For the eyes? Tone it down a teeny bit. Also, the line in the inner corner of your eye is a bit too long and big [also off a litte]. Sorry, if that sounds harsh. I'm just trying to help. :)
Oh wow.... a bit amy winehouse without the beehive! (hair not make-up, i took your point about your makeup change...) A much lighter colour wont look so harsh against your lovely pale skin.

Perhaps something like this?.... 6 dark chocolate brown or 01BB almost black (scroll down just a tad)

    http://www.haircolor-tips.com/hair-color鈥?/a>
Your hair style is quite cute, but i think the dark black hair is a bit too dark for you. I think you would look better in a warm brown with some chesnut highlights and some darker lowlights. It would work much better with your skin complexion.
Honestly, you kind of look like Amy Winehouse. LOL you should not really care what others think, if you like it then go for it. It suits you, but if you do not feel comfortable then you should change.
i don't think the black looks very natural. you look like you were born with much lighter hair.i would not go from that dark to pale blond, but that's your choice. i think a nice light brown would suit you.
    's alright

a dark cherry brown would make you look really nice

Remove black hair color, w/o coming up with orange tones?

My daughter dyed her dr brown hair jet black. She now wants to go back to her natural color. I have read all responses on this site, but I cannot afford to take her to a salon. Correct me if I am wrong, If I use a color remover, we will have the orangish color, even after we apply color over the remover. What can I do? orange will not work and leaving it alone won't either. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thk YouRemove black hair color, w/o coming up with orange tones?
You can use the color remover but you will have to re-color her hair to back to the natural brown color.

If her hair comes up to an ';orange'; color you will need to deposit color into it. Stay away from anything with ';gold'; or ';auburn';...anything that suggests there is slightest red...because that will accentuate the base color....orange.

Also remember...that the hair is going to be porous from all the coloring and removing color and coloring....so the color may fade faster than normal. Black is SO hard to remove it's very tricky.....good luck!Remove black hair color, w/o coming up with orange tones?
i dyed my hair jet black for years and is not way that you can get your natural color back. you can bleach them but trust me her hair will get ruin and after you bleach them you need to color them back brown.

the only way to get her natural color back is let them grow back
i recently died my hair black and im wanting to go blonde so i need to fade my black and my hairdresser suggested i use suave because of the detergent in it. its working for me.
I know you might not be able to afford a professional but at this point that seems like the only thing to do sorry theres not much you can do
well then too bad for your daughter you should just tell her to wait for it too wear out she should have thought about dyeing before she got it.....

Lightening black hair color once it has been this color for two or so months?

I dyed my hair a dark brown a couple of months ago and it turned out black. My roots are definitely starting to show, but I do not want to dye black again or dye it at all, I just want my natural color which is a medium brown color. Is there any way to lighten the black hair to a closer shade to match my natural hair color? Or is it too late to lighten the black color? And it is freezing here so there is no way I can go outside for with lemon juice in my hair. Lightening black hair color once it has been this color for two or so months?
Not even a hairdresser can answer these questions without analyzing your hair and knowing the products you have used. The only way you can lighten your hair is with products that are as harmful as bleach. They will all leave your hair a witchey shade of orange.

Leave it to the pros because if you go to a good hairdresser, you can end up with a colour you really like a lot better.

    Temp. black hair color?

I have herd that it wont wash out all the way and will leave ur hair just a very faded black. Is this true? my hair right now is like a mahogany red (dyed). I have also herd that it just makes it a little bit darker by the time is as washed out as much as it can. if i dont like it can I dye it back to the red that I have now once it is almost washed out or will the color not take because of the black?Temp. black hair color?
Temporary hair color is hair color that washes out after one shampoo...also know as a rinse. I think what you're talking about using is semi-permanent hair color which takes several shampoos to fade out. Black hair color is very tricky because it uses a heavy dye load, and sometimes just fades a little bit, but still stays dark. You cannot color over hair that has been colored to try to make it lighter, because color does not lift color. You can only make it darker. So, you will have to go to a salon to have it removed if you want it lighter.Temp. black hair color?
if your hair is naturally dark most of it will was out. but next time you dye it you may need to do it a few times to get it all one color.
depends on the the dye try a little bit on a tiny bit of your hair to test....
go and ask ur hairdresser darl =]

    Jet black hair color help?

So I bought some hair dye hoping to get my hair back to its natural color and it turned jet black. This happened to me a few years ago too. I do remember being able to dye over it, it was still dark but more of a dark brown not gothic black. However I can't for the life of me remember what hair dye brand was able to do it. If any of you have had this problem and were able to dye over it to a dark brown color can you tell me what brand you used. I will be forever grateful to whoever can help me correct this hair blunder.

I realize going to the salon would be the best option but I do not have that kind of money. And I'd prefer to not bleach or use a strip kit on my hair.Jet black hair color help?
i'm sorry to hear about this but to be honest, the simple answer is you probably won't get the black lighter unless it fades or you grow it out! ):

maybe if you wash your hair a bit more often than usual in slightly warmer water with normal shampoo and conditioner (instead of colour care) it'll encourage the dye to fade slightly leaving a brown instead of black? i've dyed my hair black (it was intended though, oh dear at my dye choice) before and these techniques did make the colour fade before i attempted to lighten it.

but i think the simple answer if you'll have to lighten it- look for a lightener rather than a bleach as these tend to be kinder to my hair (this might just be my hair type though) or use a low volume bleach (20 vol). then dye over the slightly lightened hair with a browny colour? you haven't mentioned what your natural hair colour is but i can't see you getting black hair any lighter than a mid-brown without serious bleaching or a salon trip!

good luck and make sure you get a good conditioning treatment if your ends go a bit frizzy if you do lighten- or get the ends snipped off!

Black hair color(colour if ur in australia)?

I go to a strict school that won't allow anyone to have hair dye in their hair or long hair or anything. It's about to be the holidays for 8 weeks(next wed.) and I want to get my hair dyed black. I was wondering how long it would take for the colour to fade from a salon product and a colour from a supermarket.

I also want to know if there is a difference between salon products If i decide to go there or just one from the supermarket(as stated before)

I really want to get it dyed, so please help me!!!

Black hair color(colour if ur in australia)?
The school will definetly NOT reprimand you for dying it black. Otherwise they would have to kick out all the Asians and African Americans, too. I go to a similar school and I know a person who got in trouble for a littel blue streak, and plenty of people who died it all black and didn't get in trouble.

It depends on whos doing the color. When I was younger my mom would die my hair with the supermarket stuff all the time and it came out great, but if you do it yourself and don't know what you're doing it will probably look pretty bad. So, if this is something your doing alone go to the salon.

I suggest Loreal Feria in Black (I know its for a girl but its the best shade ever). (its at like every walmart in the world)Black hair color(colour if ur in australia)?
never ever go black its always the hardest 2 get out and u eventually have 2 bleach it out then you can't get your natural hair colour back trust me dont go their i was dumb enough 2!!!!
go to the salon, its alot more better quality. it will last alot longer.don't go to the super market.

Black hair color - friend's comments?

My natural hair color is dark brown, but it has a redish tone to it and I didn't like it so I color my hair black. I have brown eyes and medium skin tone.

I get a lot of people telling me that black hair looks much better on me (I've had it light before too).

One of my friends keeps on telling me 'why i color my hair black' that she doesn't like black hair color. She always brags how she has no boobs and that my boobs are big. She makes a comment about it at least once every hour.

Then once while she was a bit drunk, she made a comment to my 1 yr old daughter 'sorry I am not as pretty as your mom'

I think black hair color looks great on me. I think so plus i get lots of people saying that too.

What could this all mean? Could she be jealous or what? I am confused? Is she telling me to not color my hair black because it looks good or what?Black hair color - friend's comments?
    yea yea! she's jealous..

just stay the way you like.Black hair color - friend's comments?

Black hair color makes your hair truely thick ?

Coloring the hair totaly black at a profetional hair dresser.. Will the all black hair make my hair feel thicker or thinner ?

My hair seems thin on the front but then it kinder feels and looks thick on the back head.

So im just wondering if i was to color it all black.. will it feel heavy and thick hair ?

I rememebr coloring it all bleach blonde and notice my hair felt like it had heaps of hair and felt thick.. and the good thing about thick was that i could do so much styles with my hair because it felt like i had plenty there to style.

But ones the blonde left off me over time it feels like thin and wavy and messy fluffy..... Loooks like as if im loosing hair at age 32. But im not.

Just that i like to know about the black hair.. will the black hair make the hair feel and look thick just like the same as the bleach blonde did ?Black hair color makes your hair truely thick ?
I had black hair for a while (like 2 years), and it didn't change my hair in any way. It sounds like maybe your hair is damaged. Can you just straighten it or use a good deep conditioner.Black hair color makes your hair truely thick ?
it depends on the dye yuu usee.

certain hair dye will make yuur hair feel thick but some will dry yuur hair out really bad and thin it out..

also if yuu dont properly take care of dyed hair not matter what color it'll ruin yuur hairr.
If you have light colored hair and skin the black will possibly make it look a little thinner. Make sure you get a color that looks natural on you. If you have darker skin the black color will make it look only a little fuller. If your hair has become thinner it's because it is majorly damaged. Why not use a black rinse/gloss instead of dye? Dye will burn your already frazzled hair up. Make sure you are using protein strengthening treatments and deep conditioning your hair every week, alternate with the protein. Dont use heat and dont put too much stress on the root or strand.
I am a natural blonde and had jet black hair (blue-black to be specific) for 2 1/2 years until i dyed it back to blonde 6 mos ago. I never thought of it at the time, but looking back at it now, you are right- My black hair seemed thicker and fuller bc of the illusion of the black and the effect the dye chemicals were having on my hair. It was shinier and the black seems to cover any slight imperfections. One thing to keep in mind though when going to a very black color- your skin tone will be magnified. I recommend either a nice warm toned or tanned skin color- or an impeccable ivory skin color.

I seen here that someone said to use tide detergent to get the black hair color out. Is that true?

sounds like a surefire way to fry your hair.

Black hair color can only and should only be used by someone who has an alabaster white complexion- Go for a nice brown- Can be auburn - One should never ever use BLACk hair color-makes even young faces look haggard-Have seen many asians who have frizzy hair and they look just hideous, specially older women who try to hide the white hair-Brown is safe for any colored skin-However women from china, Japan who have good complexions and color , black suits them, but those from Sri Lanka, India , well they ! I want black hair color!?

well to start off i have light green eyes and dark brown hair. I really want to get off with black, i think it would make look better. My friends also tell me the same advise. what kind of hair dye should i use to make it shiny and nice. I wanted to use semi permimenet but my friends say it will msake it look gray and not shiney, is this true? anyways what product would make the best results. my hairs lenght it about a little past my shoudlers.I want black hair color!?
use Loriel because your worth itI want black hair color!?
semis are better than permanent because they make it nice vibrant shiny and healthy looking, and it comes out if you wnat it too, semi is definately the way to go, just get whats on special
    Feria by L'Oreal
Maybe u can go to the saloon and ask those hair stylist to change ur hairstyle for u.
you need to go to someone that fixes hair they could tell you what would look nice in your hair
semi permanent is a hair dye that will wash out after a few washes and is for someone that isnt used to dying their hair or doesnt want to go drastic with a sudden change.

Any brands are good ... if wanting to do a home hair dye .. but i would recommend you go to a hairdressers and ask about training days ie days that the trainees are working and get one of them to do a full head colour and you will pay something like 拢20 possibly for something that usually costs anywhere between 拢40-60 for a full head colour

I recently had full head foils and paid 拢20 for it done on one of these days plus my hair was cut for free a week before :)
Black semi or permanent dye is no good i've tried both. I ended up going to the salon and have a professional do it, i had black and blue hair. Best to get advice from the salon.

    Hi!!

I have a natural black hair color and I want to do something a little different with it. I was thinking about blue black hair color but since is my first time with this stuff, I don't know witch one is better....

I was thinking of ';color Pulse-Electric Black'; ?

can you tell me your opinion?

    thank you!!!Blue black hair color?
well what i had last year was all my hair dyed black then i had dark bule highlights but light enough to be seen in the blak it looked really nice.

one thing i would say is go to a hair dresser rather than doing it yourself!!!Blue black hair color?
i use blue black haircolor, and don't have naturally black hair. i'm not familiar with the brand you specifiy, however, i can tell you that with the blue black color i use the blue is just a highlight. in the sun you can see a slightly bluish tint but it fades in about a month or so, so all you're left with is black hair. not a bad thing but it is what it is.
if you have naturally black hair color than i would just go with a blue highlighting kit. not like so extreme, but nice looking.
    Em, yeah =]

Try Andrew Collinge 'ivory' colour =]xx
I say - YES! I love that color! Good luck! :)
dye your tips a light blue color. That would look awesome

    Blue...or black hair color ?

    There's a hair color called ';Blue black';

    Which confuses me a little..

Is the color blue or black?

    kind of like this http://www.short-hair-style.com/images/r…

Or it could be dyed with blue streaks.Blue...or black hair color ?
Blue black is like a shine of blue tint to your hair.
It's like a blue based black. So it has shine that's slightly dark bluish.
It's black with sort of a blue undertone.
I'm thinking it's black with blue in it like streaks.
    its like raven-ish.

    Caramel or black hair color?

My character in a book im writing is a pink pale skin tone with complete heterochromia eyes one a pale green peridot eye and one deep green peridot eye. She's shy and not very upfront has had a hard past and ran away from home a year after her mother dyed in a car accident. I think you should have the character have black hair because in stories author's a lot of the time have black hair on there own characters because a lot of the time they use black hair to add drama. i hope i helped good luck
    ..Carmel..
'Caramel'... black hair on characters is overused and overrated.
Carmel because the complexion of the person is lighter so you need a light more gentle look.

It sounds like there isn't much you can do at this point, but what is wrong with black hair? I'm sure it looks better than dull, vomit-colored hair like mine.
my only suggestion is to accept the hair color. although the other offers above are good... you might not receive the result you are looking for. Stripping the color does not always work... it can leave your color many shades, and sometimes it is unworkable. find the good in the color and just try fixing it later. you dont' want your hair to look any worse than it already may be. get your hair in an updo.. .you won't even notice....

I am sure that your hair will fade sooner than later. just let it rest.

    Have a good prom

    hope this helps.
Go to a pro and they can strip the color out for you......
Stop. Quit doing things to your hair. You actually pushed the original hair color you did not want further into the hair with the other color you tried to lift it out with. You must go to a professional. Tell them all that you have done to your hair. Let them explain what they can do. Personally I would remove some of the unwanted color, highlight in a natural pattern to give a overall lighter effect and tone slightly. This is all tough to do given the porosity of your hair.

Why beard hair are lighter(white for dark/black hair color) than the hair color after certain age?!!!?

I would think that it makes more of a statement and/or it's more noticeable. A girl at my school dyed her hair jet black - and it looked really cute. I think it works well as long as you have 'strong eyes' (preferably something other than brown).

... assuming you're a girl - although it would still look hot if you were a guy and had nice eyes. You could pretend to be Greek. :-P
Basically none.Jet black hair is really black though.

Yes it would, but I would recommend a black with red undertones because that color is easier to maintain.Would i suit a violet black hair color? thinkin of dyin it!?
no, the brown looks lovely. if you did dye it and didn't like it, you're stuck with it
err theres no such thing as a 'violet black'?
    umm no.
    mabey...I wouldnt though
Your hair is pretty dark already.......if anything I would go with a violet brown as black is very harsh. And black is REALLY hard to go back from if you don't like it. As many questions as I've seen on here are people regretting going black.

I would have it done professionally to make sure you get the right color. Dark colors are all hard to change if it's not right. Also using lower volume peroxide is better for the hair and holds better and all the box colors have higher 20 volume in them. Pros know what's needed to get the best results.
    i think it would...go for it...xo

ok... so i despise my natural color... the white blond looks so thin.. but when i have it dyed black my roots come through so quickly plus they're white and i look like i'm balding... i don't know what to do... I don't want to fry my hair... any suggestions... my hair is healthy now... i'm just worried b/c i have to color it alotI have natural white blond hair but dye it black.... hair color questions...?
your hair color is beautiful, your hair color is called pale blond by some professionals, or strawberry blond which is pretty much the same as pale blond so don't let the name fool you, many people want to get this natural color and have problems, in my opinion don't change a thing. If you feel your hair is to thin just buy a thickening shampoo and conditioner, this you can purchase at a salon or even over the counter shoppers drugmart. This will ensure maximum volume and thickening of the hair shaft. Once again ( in my opinion you have a beautiful color ) And the above answer is also an idea you can do, and would probably be better than a black color which as soon as your roots grow in a few days its very noticeable. But even then you would have to dye your hole head golden blond or light blond. By doing this within a week or two you will see a dramatic difference in the growth of your natural color you would probably then want to dye your hair, ( which in my opinion is over processing your hair). So if you decide to do this you shouldn't dye your hair between 4 to 6 weeks.I have natural white blond hair but dye it black.... hair color questions...?
If I were you I wouldnt be using the color black..Reason being its too harsh looking for someone who has naturally white blonde hair, secondly it probably looks like you have gray roots and need a touch up..Switch to a different color, like a dark golden blonde not ash and see if you prefer that color..i bet you will like it better and it will probably flatter your skin color....If you have existing black color on, go to a professional and have them do it the first time to get the color removed.

Black hair color.. thin or thick?

People allways say different ideas about it.. So i dont no who els i should trust out of this.

My question is i have fine hair but the back head is more heavier... since the hair grows quicker a tthe back..

I have dark brown natural color.

I want to dye my hair all black with foils and add in protection treatment just incase the color breaks my hairs..

All this will be done at a hairdressor salon..

My question to this is... will the black color would make my hair thinner or thicker looks and feeling ?

I recall when i had bleach blonde done and my hair felt like i had heaps of hair but now that i have my natural hair color i feel so thin but i was told its FINE from all hairsalones ives been to.

Im scared that my hair might looks more thinner if i was to color it..

And there is no such thing when people say the following: choose carefully the balck color u want because ones you have it you cant change it back to blonde or other colors... Like i ask my self yeah? thats not true.. Its not like black color dye is going to permamently stay on my head .. Hair ddoes grow and black disapears from the root growth.Black hair color.. thin or thick?
Coloring your hair makes it feel thicker because it coats the hair shaft and it actually IS thicker. Just know that it really is true what they say about black hair dye... It contains the absolute strongest, most permanent pigments on the market. You are right that it can GROW out, but if you don't like it, you're really stuck with it until it does grow out, which could be a long time.

Good luck.Black hair color.. thin or thick?
Hmmm I think it would look thicker and last longer.

My sisters have done so many things to their hair and they dyed it black after it was totally fried, and their hair looks gorgeous and shiney now.

I think it would make your hair look thicker because ammonia opens the hair cuticles.

And of COURSE you can dye it other colors after you dye it black. It's a little harder to do, but you certainly can.
I agree with you, whenever I bleach my hair it feels thicker, but honestly whenever I use color, it feels exactly the same as it does naturally. No thick or thin, just the same as long as it's not bleached.
i think you shoul not worry your hair will be fine
It would make it seem a bit thicker at first, because the colour is adding to your hair, but when the dye washes out the thickness will start to go away. When you were blonde your hair was thicker because bleach makes your hair swell so it feels a lot thicker. Once you go black it is hard to go back. The only way to remove black hair dye is to bleach it out unfortunately and then your hair will be very dry and brittle, and if you're worried about thinness now a lot of your hair will probably snap off when combing and styling. If you want black then get a darkdarkdark brown because it is a lot easier to remove than black. There are also tons of products on the market that will make your hair seem thicker... ask your stylist which ones they would recommend.

take a soapy bath or contact a dermatologist
rubbing alcohol. Use it to rubs the black contents off.
the ash of a ciggarette really works its the best for removin hair colour,, and a lemon is really gud too!!x
Use rubbing alcohol luv or even some skin cleaner will get it off

It wont get it of all together but it'll be 95% better then what you started with. even soap and warm water works if you've just got the dye on your skin.

    Hope that helps!
I think someone else posted it rubbing alcohol...........
like black hair dye? i ded the underneath of mine black and it was all over my skin. my mommy told me to run running alcohol on it, then shower. it came right off, try it!

    Brownish-black hair color?

I would like to dye my hair black with a coppery brownish tint but I can't find a dye that perfectly matches what I want. I know I'll probably have to mix colors but I'm not exactly sure how to accomplish this since black is a strong color and would probably overpower the brown. (would it? I honestly have no idea, hence the question) If I need to mix colors, what level(s) of dye would I need to use? If you use any technical terms in your answer then please explain them. I don't really want to go to a salon unless I absolutely have to. Thanks in advance!Brownish-black hair color?

  • Strip black hair color?

okay i dyed my hair black, and its in the point where its like a dark brown, and my question is that i want to strip the black color, i dyed it over bleached hair and i want to go red, what should i do? wait it out til it turns gray or how can i strip it now? what should i use?Strip black hair color?
Oh man, I have stripped my hair before and it is soo bad for your hair! But i suggest you get it professionally done.. if you want it red, you could even dye it that black/red or a dark burgundy color so that in the light it looks more red than black..i think burgundy would look good over faded black hair, and u really should try not to strip it!!

Just don't wait for it to fade. that really wont help you.

How can my mom remove non permanent black hair coloring?

If you have ethnic hair, the dish detergent suggestion would strip the hair shaft further. This happened to my mother except her hair turned green. Her childhood friend is a hair stylist (over 30 yrs experience). She came over to the house and applied a brown/black rinse. Her hair looked normal for the next day. The best idea might be to go to a trusted stylist. How can my mom remove non permanent black hair coloring?
if the bottle of the dye said ';Semi-premenant'; i've heard that dish soap works to get a lot of the dye out. My friend said that she ended up with blue hair once, and it got the dye out.

    just paint it
the best thing i can say is go to a beauty supply store and get a bleaching kit . its not that expensive . you should try . but it might make your hair break . if youve ever done it youll know what i mean .
You have to use bleach or a color stripper. This will be extremely damaging and will probably require a toner to get the end result a nice color because as the color fades it goes through several stages and you will probably be left with an unattractive color. Keep in mind that it will be really hard to impossible to go blond from black, your blond will be brassy.
Yes, you must strip the color from your hair using a chemical color remover or ';stripper';. Your local beauty supply store should carry them, (I know Sally's does).

Be careful, as it is very difficult to get even results at home. Your hair will most likely end up some shade of orange so have your new shade picked out and ready to go.

Before you apply the new color to your hair, I recommend using a ';filler'; first. This can also be found at the beauty supply store. Fillers are important because they ensure that the new color goes on evenly. This step is very important if you want your new color to look good!! They come in gold, red, brown, and clear,(or neutral). Pick the one that goes best with the new shade of haircolor you've selected. If you're not sure, just go with clear.

Please don't attempt to color over the black, or bleach it....this won't work. The dye will only affect the roots of you hair and the rest will still be black. The only way to get rid of the black dye is to strip it!

    Good Luck!
    die it another color!
    Bleach ur hair out dude.
Try going to the professionals to get it stripped- it might damage your hair a bit, but there'll be no more colour.

I dyed my hair black once and I had to wait until it all grew out before I was finally rid of it. Now I go for almost-blacks or temporary colours- they fade out eventually and they can be dyed over.
i think garnier make a de-colorrant that could get it out...otherwise go to the hairdresser and they can strip it out (the color)
strip it you can get at the beauty salon
do not dye your hair over black....you will over process and ruin it
I really screwed up my hair one time, and I didn't want to color it again immediately with a permanent hair color because it would cause too much damage, so I opted for a less damaging semi-permanent hair color. Or you can use cheap hydrogen peroxide, it lightens your hair.
i just went through trying to fade black hair color out of my hair! best thing is to apply *Head and Shoulders shampoo while your hair is dry make sure u cover it let it sit for a while then wash it out! it worked well with mine it's not so dark any more!!! GOOD LUCK
OR, call 1-800-CLAIROL, my mom says they used to have a product that got the dye out of your hair (she worked for them a while back).
Yes, it will have to be stripped out with color remover and then dyed a different color because most of the time the hair turns orange after taking the black out. If you want to try it yourself there is color remover called COLOR FIX that you can order on line, you can probably come across some other ones if you look. If you do want to try it yourself, make sure you follow the directions very carefully. I would advise that you go to a salon though. P.S. DO NOT PUT BLEACH OVER IT.
wash your hair a lot or go swimming every day. the chlorine makes everything go lighter
hair bleach of course. it comes in a powder. use 40 volume peroxide (also from the beauth supply) . it's quite easy. apply it to the shaft of the hair. (keep it at least an inch from the scalp until you've done the shaft of the hair first) then apply closer to the scalp. the reason why is because the heat from your head will cause it to ';lift'; quicker. you could buy a plastic cap and sit under a hot dryer for 5 minutes or so to cause it to lift quicker. go to the beauty supply. they can show you what to buy. it's quite easy. or the other alternative is to buy some SUN IN and just hang out outside for a few hours.
Oh come on! I can't believe no one has said this...

    shave it! :P

    :)
You can actually try dish detergent. That often works to dull it and get out some of it, not all though. Then you're only alternative, if it's not temporary, is to lift (bleach) it.
Huh? I'm trying to get white hair color off my hair. Why would you want your hair to be in white? You want to look older?
    Bleach it.
    try dying it ok.
Wash with Prell or liquid dish soap

Help...i have bleach blonde highlights, i want to dye it back to my natural dark brown or black hair color?

i bleached parts of my hair blonde

but now i want it back to my natural dark brown or black color

i keep hearing it will turn green

    what should i do

i really want my natural color back

thanks in advance =]Help...i have bleach blonde highlights, i want to dye it back to my natural dark brown or black hair color?
I know someone said use an ash color Well the base of an ash is green and that is what you will get. Since you have blonde streaks and I am thinking there are from bleach you are going to need to fill the hair shaft before you can dye your hair and please don't go to ash it well be green. GO to the salon please. but if you don't and you go to a beauty store you can get a natural color base in a shade of 8 to fill hair then you wash this out and no conditioner, let dry and make sure you are in the right shade more towards a darker blonde instead of so white and fill again once you have gotten the hair shaft full of filler you can now die it a natural color of level 1 or 2 it might seem on the reddish side but this is the way you stay away from green

The reason the other person on the broad got black with out green it is because there hair was already filled it had the red orange in it already this is a long process and it takes time so please go to a hairdresser or you can let it just grow out good luckHelp...i have bleach blonde highlights, i want to dye it back to my natural dark brown or black hair color?
try ash brown, it worked for me, (i dyed my hair blonde and t turned out orange eww ) good luck

    Colouring black hair color black?

I have blackish deep brown hair (Asian hair). I've heard hair color keeps hair managable and well conditioned. I do not want any drastic color. Is it a good idea to color my hair black .? So i get the benefits and have no color change :). Do ppl do that...?Colouring black hair color black?
This is a ridiculous idea. If you arent using hair color to change the color then there is no point in using a damaging chemical to ';improve'; the APPEREANCE of the hair. Your best bet is to do a conditioner type treatment once a week or a masque treatment with a little heat once a week.

If your hair is dull then you are either not cleansing the hair enought while shampooing or the conditioner you are using is not getting washed out enough or is filled with junk i.e. fragrence and other fillers and all it is doing is coating the hair shaft and causing it to be dull and blah.

You have brown eyes, so it won't be too harsh on you. You most likely have an olive skintone so black would look great on you! If you feel like you're still too sallow, you can always hit up a tanning salon.

    Stripping black hair color?

I dyed my hair starting July 2008 and have kept dying it now I am using Loreal Hair Color Corrector I can already see it working!! And I tested it before I used it to make sure there would be no breakage and it would actually work. What a relief. But my main question is how do I keep the color from going back to dark, I heard this can happen to some people. Any advice welcome.Stripping black hair color?
L'Oreal tests on animals. I do not like this brand and can say I have not used it in a very long time so my knowledge on this isn't extensive. I can say that any kind of hair color correcter is probably just a regular color-stripping product. It shrinks the hair color molecules until they are almost unnoticeable. The dark color will not show back up, unless the molecules swell back up again. After stripping your hair, make sure you use a good clarifying shampoo. This will help rinse out the color molecules. Don't forget to use an intensive moisturizing conditioner afterwords. I would suggest buying Ion Repair Solutions Hair Reconstructor. I personally use it after years of destroying my hair with bleach and my hair is still silky smooth and gorgeously soft. Remember, Ion Repair Solutions Hair Reconstructor has a lot of proteins in it. If you use too much, your hair could break. Make sure at first you do it 2-3 times a week, then switch to just once a week or as often as needed.

    Good luck!

I totally agree as a professional cosmetologist , but tint does not lift tint if your a natural black consider bleaching to lift its the only way if your not natural black black is a nightmare to get out and to get it out may result in major damage
consider brown, you will never get the black out i promise!!!! you will be stuck with it unless you want to cut it or pay someone to damage your hair trying to get it out. do the brown it will look prett over the highlights
I'd go with brown because getting black out of hair is HELL. I spent oodles of money trying to get my hair to lighten up some after I dyed it soft black. I was told by a woman who worked in a salon that even in her opinion it is tons of work to get black color out of the hair.

Yeah sure, jet black would look great :), you should cut it short of sort too, for a edgy look.
Go for it! Maybe a blackblue tint on part of it would be cute too.
I think you should. Dark hair is in for fall. And I think it would look dramatic against your light skin. :^)

    Please answer mine?:

Yea I love black hair, I have red-ish brown and I've gone jet black many times but it always seems to go back brown.

Is there a difference between brunette and black hair colors?

I've always thought that i had black hair but someone once told me i had brunette cause they said it's impossible to have naturally dark dark dark black hair.

is this true? whats the difference? Is there a difference between brunette and black hair colors?
The difference between black hair and dark brown hair can be pretty hard to tell. For instance, my mom has deep, dark brunette hair that I think is black, yet she insists is dark brown. Hopefully, these pictures can help you:

    This is more black: http://www.hji.co.uk/hjimages/images/qhs鈥?/a>

    And this is dark brown:

Notice the tint in the brown hair color? Is there a difference between brunette and black hair colors?
it is actually true, but it just means you cant have jet black hair unless you dye it, but you can have dark dark dark dark dark dark dark dark dark dark dark dark brown hair, which is considered black, because it looks black.

so, technically speaking, you are a 'brunette' but you would say you have black hair.

i think you cant have black hair because of the pigments in hair or something.

    hope this helped :)
It is exceedingly rare to find anyone with true black hair. Most humans have brown hair. Almost all races have some mixtures in them, and a true black is very rare.

Stand under a very strong light, or sunlight is best. Have the light shine from behind so that the light sines through the hair. You will see the true colour of the hair. Brown (in french, ';brunette';) will have some reddish or gold tones in it. Black will not. It will be flat... dark, possibly with a blue highlight to it.

What we call black is very dark brown. Think black coffee -- it is very dark, and we call it black. But put some on a white sheet of paper... it is brown! It's just very dark, it looks black.

No one really looks good in true black hair, unless your skin tones go with it. But that is very rare. If you are Caucasian, you have brown (or brunette) hair.
I dont know.. i've always thought people can have naturally black hair.

If your hair has a slight dark brown/reddish tinge to it in the light, then its brunette.

I thought i had black hair.. but maybe it is just really really dark brown.

Dyes for black hair always have a navy colour in it anyway.
Nah, you can have naturally black hair. Brunette is a shade of brown, even if its REALLY dark, you can usually tell it has some brown. I like black hair, its an interesting alternative. Just as long as you don't dye it so its actually purple black. lol.
When people refer to someone as a brunette, it usually means someone with dark hair, whether it's dark brown or black. And yes, it is possible to have black, almost bluish black hair, though it's more prevalent in some cultures than others.
no. some people have black hair, such as most blacks, Asians, and Hispanics.

brunette is usually brown but sometimes can include black. black is just black. if you go out in the sunlight and your hair has a reddish or brownish tint, it's not truly black but very dark brown or red.
You can have raven dark hair as a natural thing. Take a look at asian folks. Their hair color could not be described as anything else than black. Brunette is a color closer to brown than black. It would be very difficult to confuse the two.
I have black balck hair, so that's wrong, but yes, it's very difficult to find. Black hair dyes, for instance, are always blue black unless they're brown black, which looks much more natural. Brown, however, is totally noticeably lighter.
ok, well your friend was talking about brunette like a dark brown. and yes, its IS possible to have black hair, but the way you can tell its dark brown is if your hair reflects in the light or in the sun.
brunette's very dark brown, and black's like black TV screen or something. yeah, it does not happen often for someone to have really BLACK hair or eyes, but more like very dark brown... black hair can mean black that looks like brown highlights in light.
They're totally different. Someone can have black hair...however, sometimes dark brown hair is harder to recognize because it is so dark. You can tell more in the light what color it is.
What? Yes its natural to have dark black hair.. Brunette is BROWN. So if you have brown hair you are a brunette and if you have black hair you have black hair. I am a brunette.
Yes, its very rare to have naturally black hair

there are soo many different shades of brown, you must have a really dark one.

black hair in the light is purple and sometimes blue.
brunette is a dark brown, and it is possible to have naturally dark black hair, I know plenty of people like that.
its most deffinetly not impossible to have wickkkked dark hair.

just think of spanish people and such...

somebody could have really dark brown hair...

but some people can have black hair.

but its mostly what you think
Brunette is lighter in colour. More like dark brown. Black is the colour of an asian hair like the Chinese or Malaysians.
your hair probably is a very dark brown . you could really tell if you stand in the sunlight . its true your hair could be naturally dark but not black.
i have natural black black hair...

    it's because i'm asian
asian hair is usually rele black.

otherwise, it's pretty much just dark brown.
Its not impossible to have naturally dark black hair. wth

but there is a a difference between those 2 hair colors
A brunette is a person with dark hair. You are a brunette.
Yea. The difference is that they are 2 different colors.
    black is black

    brunette is dark brown
    Brunette is brown..

    Black.. is well.. black

    like night.

a rather stupid question, no offence

    but ive seen dumber.

    Brown and black are different.
    they are shirley different
i guess brunette is more burgunish
black is BLACK and brunette is BROWN!!!!!
    brunette is brown
    yes

I want an intense blue black hair color.?

I have always dyed my hair blue black but I want something with a strong blue tint. Any ideas?I want an intense blue black hair color.?
Fudge Paintbox has an awesome line of semi-permanent hair colors. I'd try something like Blue Velvet. Depending on how dark your hair is, you'll probably need to lighten it for the color to really pop out. Otherwise you can just go over what you have for a more subtle look. But if you want intense, definately lighten first.I want an intense blue black hair color.?
    Aha oh man.

I went to Sally Beauty store or whatever and bought this black-blue tint stuff. It was grouped with all of these other crazy colors so I decided to give it a try.

I tried to pull it up online but it won't seem to work.

Well anyhow it was the darkest blue I'd ever seen and everyone loved it.

    well, I didn't but that's because I wasn't expecting it.
