Does sun in work good to lighten natural jet black hair color?

hi everyone!

so i just recently bought sun in to lighten my hair color and i had couple of questions. any advice and tips will me greatly appreciated! thanks in advance for taking time to reply.here are the questions:

does it damage my hair in any kind of way?

does the highlights turn out pretty for natural black hair?

is it permanent?

what kind of results should i expect with natural back hair?Does sun in work good to lighten natural jet black hair color?
Sun-in is one of the most damaging products to use on your hair.

It also doesn't give any highlight effect what so ever. All it will do is take your hair to probably an orangey color.

Because you're hair is so dark, sun-in doesn't have the lifting ability to give you even a pretty color.

If you want your hair lighter, I suggest going to a professional stylist. If you've already used Sun-in on your hair and it's gone bad (as it will) than make sure you tell your colorist thats what you put on it. Sometimes those generic products can have a bad effect when mixed with professional color products.Does sun in work good to lighten natural jet black hair color?
anything to lighten natural black hair will be permanent. but sun in is a crappy product that is not very accurate. i tried it years ago and even with very light brown hair it only turned my hair brassy orange. it probably won't even budge the black out of your hair! i would recommend getting it done professionally.
I wouldn't advise to use this.. I'm not even sure if it's supposed to be used on black hair..

I've heard the chemicals can do some pretty bad things to your hair. And might turn it a color you don't wish.. such as orange. :\

And besides, black hair is lovely!
I really wouldn't try it on Black hair. It's been known to turn black hair orange.
LOL

It will turn your hair reddish orange..
hope it doesnt turn that greenish tint :-o
