Get rid of my black hair color?

I colored my hair black a couple of months ago and i want to change it to a lighter brown shade,i tried the color opps hair remover it did remove some but i still have black in my hair,and i dont want to bleach my hair either.What can i do??Get rid of my black hair color?

ugh i hated when it came time to remove the black dye! i had dyed my hair black and wanted it back to its natural color without waiting for it to grow out and be mismatched cause that is just UGLY.


i ended up having to go to the salon and have it *professionally* done. it was called ';corrective color services'; cause it was harder to get black off. all i can say is go to a professional..its worth it. you can get the color you want without making your hair fall out and/or get fried, all while just sitting there!
Unless if you want to fry it I wouldn't try and change a black bleach job... lol go to a hair stylist place and ask them what they can do, they may need to bleach it but there may be some shampoo or something they can give you to lighten it up a bit, that's what I'd do.
Hair salonists always know what to do.
